Posted in General forum... forgot we had a turkey one.
My brother's 12 year old son got his first bird this morning back home in SC. He told me the bird locked up about 75 yards out so his hunting partner moved about 50 yards further down the draw and started calling again to make him think the hen was moving off. He said the tom started coming right away. At about 20 yards out my brother hit the call and he stopped and popped his head up and Jacob let him have it. 11 inch beard, 1 1/4 inch spurs. A little over 20 pounds.
