Must be something in the air :) My new bow should be here tomorrow. It was scheduled to be here today but didn't come...hopped over there on the tracking site to see they had changed the delivery date. I waited all day long to get home and find it then all evening after I got home.

Got a PSE Dream Season X-Force coming. Got it brand new with warranty for $575 shipped from a guy closing out his 2008 inventory. I took a big chance and have never even seen one in person or shot one but going by reputation alone on the bow. Shot the 6" brace height X-Force last year and thought it was okay but way out of my price range for nearly $900. The Dream Season one is a 7" brace height and they say it has smoother cams on it. So I'm really looking forward to getting it in and setting it up to shoot!

It is a super fast bow.
I prefer a Drenelin, but I give up some speed for sure.
Enjoy it.

Crow that is a heck of a deal. For its speed it is the smoothest bow I've shot. I have found that the draw lengths run a little long on the X-Force, but nothing that can't be changed fast. Lots of folks complain about PSE strings. The serving does seem to separate a little fairly quick around the lower cam, but keeping a thin coat of wax seems to help. You will probably need to shoot it a couple hundred times to settle the string and cables. But PSE strings and cables are made from the same material as any top grade string anywhere. It just seems they may not be stretched much from the factory during manufacturing. After a while they seem to perform great.

If your into speed, hold on to your hat. She Smokes!

And Radar, congrats on your new bow.

Re: New bow on the way

I got the bow today ,and did a quick setup . I havent installed a peep yet , and have been breaking in the new string . I can tell this bow is shooting faster than my Mathews LX or Kodiak Titan . Most importantly , the grip feels great and the bow shoots good for me .
Draw cycle is a little more harsh than the Mathews , but the letoff valley feels better at full draw . Rock solid.
PSE makes a well designed bow . This is my 5th PSE bow . I'm glad to be shooting one again .

Re: New bow on the way

Got the Dream Season today and had it set up. Problem is...I thought you could adjust all the draw length by just moving the modules around. Didn't know you had to have specific sets of modules. The bow has 29" modules on it. So it's too long. I can probably shoot it if I take the D-Loop off it. I shoot a 28.5" and put a D-Loop on it.

We weighed my arrow and shot it through the chrony. My arrow weight was 386 grains and the bow was backed out to 65 pounds. Shot it 3 times through it and it hit 297, 302, 302.

I'm use to bows in the 270 FPS range so this dude screams and it is VERY surprisingly smooth shooting. I've only shot it without a stabilizer and no noise or shock absorbers on it and it is smoother than the last bows I've had WITH those on them. NOTHING like the 2007 6" brace height X-Force.

Re: New bow on the way

Radar, that Mach is a shooter for sure, and PSE will back it up. I like the fact that PSE leaves nothing short in quality.

Crow, I would just get a 28" mod. The X-force will run about 1/2" long, so I would bet that 28" mod will fit the mold. You should be able to get one for around 20 bucks or less. Check ebay.
The X is an amazing bow.

Re: New bow on the way

Got the new bow setup with a Trophy Taker rest , Apex sight ,STS , and G5 Meta peep . Broke in the string , served the peep , and twisted the string one half turn . The easiest bow I have ever had to setup . Being able to back out the limb bolts to relax the string without a bow press , make setup a breeze .
