Well new to me. I purchased a Bowtech 101st airborne from a friend of the family. I got the bow, 2 sets of mods, custom no torque grip, 60#limbs(on the bow), and 70# limbs for $425. The fella also put new strings and cables on in september. He said he barely got the new string broke in on it becase he has been hunting with his alley.

Steal anyone?

The best part of the whole deal is that the fella I bought it from is a shooter for the Bowtech pro staff. I would rather get a bow after he had it for a year than a brand new one.

The bow is in OH where my brother lives so I decided to wait and pick it up at Christmas time when I go up.

I feel like a kid waiting for santa now!!

Hope you like it. Out of all the bows I shot back in January, I liked it the least. Maybe they didn't have the bow set up right, but I can't think of a bow that has a worse draw cycle. Tons of hand shock. I'm sure you can tweek that with a STS.

Cool deal. Congrats on your bow!.

I bought a used mint condition Drenalin for about half price of a new one.
Great bow at a great price.
ATalk has some good deals if you watch it a lot,and jump on a deal as soon as it's posted.
I could not find a good deal anywhere else including Ebay and Craigs list.

That is a hell of a comment.

Must be personal preferance. I think that bow feels like a cadilac in my hand. I am shooting an alley right now. It and the 101st have a abrubt draw cyle, but that is what I like. I like for those cams to roll over and land on a solid a$$ backwall.

Im a Mathews fan but apoligize for the bow bashing I did.
Lots of good bows, and Mathews are not the best of all of them. I know it.
But, I do like the Mathews rollergard.

The bowtechs have the roller guard too. I am glad for it. Looking forward to shooting this bow.

The rollers make the draw very smooth.
I don't know why all bow mfg's don't use them.
It just works great.

I am the owner of 4 Mathews bows, couple of Hoyts, couple of PSE and several other bows and for me the roller guard is one feature that I like the least on my Mathews. Just my opinion.

What could possibly be a problem with rollergard?
Smooth, quiet, perfect.
What does it do or not do well on your bow?
Your bow must have a set-up problem. You should take it to a Mathews dealer, because something is not right with your set-up, or your form. Ever have someone watch you shoot for some advise?

The other bows you won are all good bows, but you should not be having any problems with the rollergard on a correctly set-up Mathews bow. Do it yourself bowwork is not always a good idea with these bows. A good dealer will correct what is the real cause, which is not the rollergard itself.
Good luck with your shooting. Have it checked out by a pro.
Money well spent.

No offense here LCU but Tox could probly tell the dealers a thing or two about tuning. having it checked out by a pro would be a step back. I don't know Tox very well, but he knows his stuff. It's all personal preferance.

Or if you want help at no cost, visit the Mathews website forum.

Most likely is a problem in how you draw.
Or your DL is not a fit for your bow.
Probably something very simple.

Bob, Did you get your new 101s't yet.
I hunt with a guy that hunted with it for the first time this season, and he likes it. Best bow he ever shot.
You got a steal of a deal, especially with the Torqueless grip.

Im buying that grip in Medium for my bow.

My Dren has 60# limbs, and I like it.
Was worried I would regreat not going with the 70#,but now glad I did.I can't tell the difference is arrow speed just buy shooting it. Even out to 45 yds.

Not yet. I bought it from a fella that works with my brother in ohio. I am going up there to visit for christmas, so I thought I would save the ship cost and just wait to get it until I get up there.

I will be shootn the 60# limbs as well. I have the 60# limbs on my allegiance right now and like them real well. The bow does come with an extra set of 70# limbs though. Since I am setting it up as a target bow I might not mind pulling a little more. We just have to see. I've been having dreams about it. My brother is going to give me a deal on a Spott Hogg Hogg-it sight with the 6" bar. I can't wait to get that baby tuned up. I would like to put a limb driver arrow rest on it, but $$$$ will be tight after the holiday.
