new buck

Why is everyone thinking he is "young"? I think he is a year older than most.
I think he's no older than 3 1/2, and fair chance he's only 2 1/2.

Either way, think Mr. Stone should take him if he wants, or let him grow another year, if he wants. :) Just saying this buck will likely go from "real nice" to MONSTROUS antlers should he survive another year or two.

Assuming he's still in velvet, doubt he'll gross score over 115 now, but IF he's only 2 1/2, we may be looking at a 150-plus class buck by 4 1/2. We all look at this differently, but I'd gladly pass a "young" 115-class this year for even a small chance in the next year or two at a 150-plus class. Just part of creating one's own opportunity for what's wanted most. Some would rather have a 115 in the hand vs. a 150 in the bush, so to each their own.

Well Stevie the chances of a buck like that even making it that far around Sunbright are extremely low, hunters everywhere as you know, so you better shoot that one if you get a chance! Definitely a top end buck for that area, for anyone else that knows the area.

You are so true! I live here and would take that buck in a heart beat. To each his own and if that buck makes him happy then CHOOT EM!
