My friend's dad has always made these for us in the past but has now gotten too old to tie them. I started with bare hooks. poured the lead and painted the heads and now I'm tying hair jigs for white bass, hybrid and crappie. These are 1/4 oz heads with 1/0 hooks. Can't wait to try them out! It's actually a lot of fun and is a good way to kill a cold rainy winter day.

Looking good. The nice thing about tying your own is that you can make any color combination you can dream up and you can make them as full or sparse as you want.
