Interesting. These studies make me feel better about eating untested deer from positive zones, but I'm still not going to cook or give it to someone else without their prior consent.

Exactly. Maybe gives some comfort for incidental contact, handling, and processing before the test result. But this is just one study — some positive indications, but I don't want to be case #1, either.

We trust the NIH now?
Unfortunately, you don't get many chances to maintain your credibility as an authority figure.

The NIH has some excellent scientists working for them who appear to have performed some solid research here, but their organization has been compromised for a lot of folks.
