Walked down to a fishin hole in the Harpeth River better known for carp and catfish, but I first saw 3 decent largemouth on beds that wouldn't bite. I climbed up this tree onto a platform where there is a rope swing, and here came this bronze fish swimming right up the channel. I threw the lizard and the fish ate it. I pulled out my digital a scale only to discover the batteries had just died. So I measured it with my fishing rod - it went from the end of the butt to the K in Shakespeare. I got back to the truck and measured the rod at 19 inches. My previous best was 18.25 so it didn't beat by much, but it sure got the heart pumping.
