Mark Pope, in his first year as UK basketball coach, did what Cal has not been able to do in recent years. Cats beat a highly ranked Duke team on the road. This is going to be a fun year for UK fans

Got a buddy that's a Kentucky fan and he posted something on FB about them and a natty. Didn't know who they played and why he was crowing but that's a good win for sure. Now they have to sustain it or fans will lose their mind.
Can always count on UK fans to forget football exists come November
My reply to the buddy I mentioned above was "it's still football season".

I really liked what I saw. They showed poise and the ability to stick to a game plan and rely on one another. Having said that, it showed the difference that playing upper classmen against a freshman heavy team makes. Pope has pride in the name on the jersey and not just the pay and his ego. I like where we're headed! Go Big Blue!
It was a great game and had my blood pressure up. Flagg for Duke is a great player but needs to get a little more controlled on his drives when the game is on the line. Duke's 7'3" man needs to be a little more aggressive with boxing out and rebounds. Good showing by both teams with one being so young and the other made up of transfers that worked together.
I'm excited about Pope and that was a great win. I like seeing the maturity level of the upperclassmen he's brought in. Still too early to tell if we can make a run in the NCAA tourney but whether it's this year or a couple years down the road I believe he has UK going in the right direction.
