What's it called and why is it made? In essence, when/why does a buck make this vocalization?Have heard it several times, even have video/audio on my phone. Can imitate the same call with a grunt tube.
I posted a video last year. That buck actually charged a doe as he made the growl, roar, or long grunt, whatever you want to call it. There were other bucks and does around. Definitely a dominance vocal, body language displayed dominance when I have seen it.What's it called and why is it made? In essence, when/why does a buck make this vocalization?
When I have witnessed these vocals, does have always been present.Who he is growling at is off camera in my video. Would love to know who. But he had been chasing does in the plot just prior to that.
