hoppin jons and collard greens with hog jowl here. should make this more than once a year but we don't. guess that's what makes it so good. whats on your plate today?
 
Greens, black eyed peas, cabbage, bacon, ham, cornbread, sweet tea. I've been cooking since 7, about to eat at 1.
 
I had greens and peas in the freezer but no jowls. Guess I'll have to make do with bacon wrapped duck breast and ribeye.

Find the jowl, reserved a little grease. Added onion and garlic then pork chops. Browned them then added 2 cans of black eyed peas and two jars of mushroom gravy. Gonna let it simmer bout 2 1/2 hrs.

Tripp's Country Ham was used for both the collards and the peas. Grilled catfish
