Next bama coach

I'm Sad Saban is retiring but also happy for him. I'm excited for the new coach and to see what he brings. I'm nervous about the new coach because it's change. I also remember the rough times before Saban. I think he's a good hire but time will tell. I've been wrong before. I agree it's going to be a fun offseason.
Very happy to see Saban retiring on his own terns when he felt like it was time. I watched the interview he did and it answered all the questions any ALABAMA should need to know to be at peace with his retirement. I know I am.
While every ALABAMA fan knows things will be different without Saban we are all looking forward to what DEBOER brings to the table and what he is capable of.

The future looks bright I gotta wear shades :)

He was one of two. Dabo was the other. Norvell was out when NIL issues came up. Kirby is home at Georgia and not leaving voluntarily. I would assume Dabo does not want to come behind Saban. Fans need to come back to reasonable expectations.
Where are you getting this? I don't think Swinney was in consideration by the Alabama administration.

Thank you for being a voice of reason. A machine has been built over the last 17 years that isn't just going to quit.
I somewhat agree but Saban was the engineer of that train and with a new engineer at the helm it will be different. I don't think they'll fall off the map for sure and DeBoer has an impressive overall record but he hasn't been under the microscope like he's fixing to be. He may come in and set the world on fire although I'd prefer that not happen. 😂

Things are starting to come to light.

Byrne met in a motel in Washington 2 days ago with DeBoer and his entire family and he felt then he had his coach. But he did his diligence in the coaching search because it's what you do in such a important situation.

As to Norvell I went on record I was not happy about how they were not talking about playing in the bowl game with Georgia . I thought it was cowardly then and a bad move for the program then and really was NOT looking forward to him as a hire. Something about someone like that just does not sit right with me. Your all in or all out. Glad we did not have to find out.

As far as Dabo is concerned I don't think he was ever seriously considered if he was contacted at all. His program has slipped further than the vols and he has a ALABAMA clause in his contract.

Just because Tennessee's has less than spectacular record in head coaching hires doesn't mean it will happen at Alabama. Could it? sure. But teams across the Nation make pretty solid hires every year. Why should folks think it can't happen at Alabama?
What do you mean it doesn't mean it won't happen at Alabama? It already has. After Stallings they went through 4 coaches in 10 years before hiring Saban and 1 of those never coached a game because he used a university credit card at a strip joint but you already knew that. 😝

Yea, Alabama had a lot of issues back in the 90s, but I don't think Saban left the program in quite the same situation that Stallings did. Like I said, It could happen. Bama may fall apart over the next decade or longer, but I just don't see any evidence that that scenario is inevitable. I know a lot of people would like to see that happen, but "R.I.P Alabama" is just silly-talk.

Alabama is still the #2 team in the betting markets to win the 2024-2025 National Championship. For comparison, TN is 16th.

Your going to go off that while players jump ship? Those numbers are going to change

. It's possible they make a 12 team playoff next year, but you could say the same thing about 20 teams
You could say that. But as usual you would be wrong.

There were about twenty teams that keep yapping on here that would have NOT made the 12 team play off. You know who you are.
