What does everyone think about Mel Tucker?
Didn't know much about the guy at all

Looks like his been in the defensive game for along time for some good teams

1999 Miami (DB coach)
2000 LSU (DB coach)
2001-2003 Ohio st (DB coach)
2004 Ohio st (Co-DC)
2005-2007 Cleveland browns (DB coach)
2008 Cleveland browns (DC)
2009-2012 Jacksonville jaguars (DC)
2013-2014 Chicago bears (DC)
2015 bama (DB coach)
2016-2017 Georgia (DC/DB coach)

Surely with over 15 years on the defensive side of the ball with good college programs & NFL teams his picked up a few tricks about D atleast besides that No clue really...

been coaching D1/NFL (9years) since 1999

killer recruiter, Saban hated losing him
From 1999 to currently at UGA in 2017 (almost 2018 now) is a little longer then 9 years? May need to double that.

It looks like it's coming down to Steele, Pruitt and Tucker. Out of those three, give me Brohm.

Steele was what 9-35 as a head coach??
Like tucker

His been coaching heavily on the defensive side of the ball with some big college programs & the NFL for a good while now.

Including :
New Mexico State
Tennessee
Nebraska
Florida state
Auburn
Bama
Clemson
Oklahoma state
Carolina panthers
LSU

He coached LBs, DBs or was DC at all those schools at some point.

And yes he was the HC at Baylor were he went 9-36 From 1999-2002 his one and only head coaching gig

A few accomplishments:

"From 1989 to 1994, Steele coached the linebackers under Nebraska legend Tom Osborne. During his six years in Lincoln, the Cornhuskers went 60-11, appeared in six bowl games, won four conference championships and captured the 1994 national championship with a 13-0 record. He coached Butkus Award winner Trev Alberts during that time."

"In December 2017, Kevin Steele was a finalist for the prestigious Broyles Award, presented to the top assistant coach in college football."

Still mind blowing that it is this hard to get a good coach at a place like TN.

I honestly feel sorry for the fans that still are holding on to Gruden to TN. 2 months ago I wouldn't have believed TN would be struggling this bad to replace Butch.

Sounds like Steele may be eliminated. Talks of Pruitt and Tucker both getting a 3rd interview.

Now why it takes 3 interviews IDK. Just what people are saying.

Apparently Phils big booster backer Charlie Anderson has been pushing Pruitt because his grandson plays for Bama.
