Nice surprise yesterday

Took a break from very unproductive crappie fishing and was poking around a dock catching a few bream while I waited for stretch to get there yesterday.
Set the hook on a very light bite and thought finally a good bream.
Then it figured out it was hooked and I had no idea what I had hooked into!
Granted it was only about 3/4 of a pound but on my bream rod it was an awesome fight!
Sure wish I could catch them more often.
Never knew smallmouth liked crickets lol

Good deal, everything that swims loves crickets. Seen a show once of a old guy crappie fishing down south and that's all he used was crickets and wore the crappie out fishing around Cypress stumps.
