They are allowed NIL deals also but not sure how that's going. Prob pretty hard to get money in high school except the very large schools with tons of exposure

Nico sure has not lived up to the expectations of Volunteer fans.In my opinion he sure is no Hendon Hooker.Hooker was a team player and loved by all the fans and teammates!!Hendon Hooker was the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy but got injured against South Carolina!

They are allowed NIL Deals but are not allowed to represent their team. For example, if they do a commercial they must wear a generic jersey without a team name or emblem. It's all a trickle down effect and getting worse.

I certainly have mixed feelings with Nico and his performance. I think he will improve considerably from freshman to sophomore. But how big of a jump he makes is anyone's guess.

I'm NOT convinced that he is going to light the world on fire with his talent. But sure as he transfers….he will light it up somewhere else

I'm hopeful that they work something out but I don't think he deserves some crazy amount of money. This is just the new world of college athletics we live in. Everyone can negotiate new contracts just like other professional sports. It sucks!

Yep. Pro pay, with a 1/3 of the skill of an nfl player. Makes no sense to me.

Look at bryce young. He took a paycut to go to the nfl and ne undersized and underskilled. He is about the 25th best in the league (and thats being generous)

The reward for college athletes, is a free education while being regarded as heroes. Now they are below average pro players playing other below average pro players

Not a TN fan at all but big props to Heupel and whoever else made the decision to make the decision for him to not come back. There's no loyalty to a program anymore. Don't want to compete for playing time. Transfer. Want more money. Transfer. Don't get your way. Transfer. The mindset of these players/kids will not work out well in the "real world" when sports are over with for them.
