Any body try these out? I got some with a gift cart from BassPro and took one of them to the range and could not even tell it was lit up when I shot it. It was'nt a bright day or anything and it looked like any other nock flying through the air.

Maybe it was just that one nock but I hope I didnt waste 25 bucks on these things.

Mine all work fine. Can't see mine unless it's dawn or dusk. They sure show up in low light though.

I was under the impression from all the reviews I had read that they would glow bright all the time. I can see how they will show up bright at dawn and dusk but I wont be shooting deer only at dawn and dusk.

Oh well they were free to me so I will use them anyway.

luminocks glow bright under any lighting.

I guess I have arrows that are too cheap for Luminoks. They said mine dont have enought carbon or something to make them work???

Luminocks are horrible. I bought 6 of them for my hunting shafts. They have two connection points that must make contact with the shaft end at just the right pressure or they wont work. Of the 6 that I had, one would consistently light up once shot...and stay lit after impact. A lot of times in practice, they would come on for a half second then go out or the impact of the arrow cause it to go out.

I've heard nothing but good about the Nocturnal Nocks though. Not sure what your expectations were for daylight shooting though. Even a 21 volt coon light ain't bright when it's day light outside but will shine to 200+ yds at night and make ya see spots lol

Your best bet for day light is bright fletching colors and or wraps. For this reason I use color not found in the wild on the floor of the woods....no yellows or oranges or reds. My hunting colors are hot pink and white with pink tiger stripe wraps. You may look odd with pink/white on your arrows but the first one you shoot thru the woods and can see from 35 yds away...you'll go Hmm. Easiest to find colors I've found yet.

I tried lighted nocks one time and never again. Spent $$$ to have them not work half the time. I only tried the Easton Tracer nocks and that might be why I had trouble. I also did not get good arrow flight.

I love my nockturnals and I do not have a problem at all with them showing up during midday, I shot a doe at 11am and saw the arrow pass-thru with ease, but yes they do show up better during dawn or dusk. The same arrow, broadhead and nockturnal have harvested eight deer, so yes they are tough too. I do use the green nockturnals and I crest my own arrows white and flourescent green to helps greatly with daytime visibility. I live in Wilson also and if you want to see them in action or need further help, just let me know.

I tried the Nockturnals, bought a 3 pack one of them the battery was dead from the start contacted my bowshop they said we have had a problem with them. Your batts may be low for a reason why you cant see them in bright daylight. The 2 of mine that worked lit up well. With that being said they did not fly to suit me. I switched to Lumenoks and love them. Arrow flight is good and they light up bright all the time.

I ended up pulling the others out of the package to see if they were brighter and they were noticeably brighter. I must have got one with a low battery or something.

neon colored knocks work jus as good for me and a heck of alot cheaper

Yeah I found a neon green nock on a broken arrow at the range and put it on an arrow and I could see it on the target very easily at 50 yards. I will probably just get some of those once these Nockturnals die.

True as mentioned before, howeverthe nockturnals, or any lighted nock for that matter, provide a wealth of information that a regular nock cannot, and will not. For example, five minutes before legal shooting light was over I had a big doe step out at 28 yards and gave me a broadside shot this past season. Upon focusing on her, which at that range and time of day all I could see through the peep was a rough shadow and an outline, I let the arrow fly and I could see the arrow completely disappear behind the shoulder and bury in the ground as she bolted, but I noticed something funny happened to the arrow right before it hit her. Now I did hear her crash, but let's assume I didn't. I got down picked up the arrow and it was covered in blood but the blood trail was minimal at best. If I wouldn't have had a lighted nock, there is no way I could have known where I hit her and what I saw right a few yards before impact was the arrow hitting the only small branch in that lane that I couldn't seethe exit wound was slightly higher than the entrance is how I know that. Using a lighted nock provided me the information of knowing exactly where I impacted her. If I didn't know where I hit her at, due to the lack of "good" light, and the lack of bloodI probably would have backed out after a short bit and searched in the morning, but instead knowing where I hit her allowed me to "search" that night and hunt the next morning. They also help during daylight hours as well, as they exaggerate the visiblity of the point of impactsomething a neon nock cannot. I have killed deer without using lighted nocks, and with using themto me they assist me in knowing exactly where I it at in case on of the many variables that come into play occur. It's just another tool. I will add this though, most record books will not allow a deer to be registered if you using a lighted nockif you even care...I don't. :)
