number of bow kills

4 yrs bow hunting i killed 3 does.. 1 at lbl 1 at cheatham and 1 on private land..ive passed around 15 bucks in 4 yrs the biggest was a basket 8..3 yrs ago i shot a big 10 pter at 20 yds ,,found blood about the size of a softball ,then the blood trail ran out ..i was in some very thick stuff .disappointed the heck out of me..

Shot a doe in 06. Didn't even bowhunt last year due to the heat. I did regret it once ML season started, but you can't do anything about it then! Hope to take a couple with the bow this year. 2 deer is my limit in a season, I can't eat anymore than that. If I know people who want the meat and are willing to help in the processing, then I might take 3.

I've killed a 3 to 4 a year in two different states for as long as I can remember. I'm guessing up around 50 , but I don't have an exact number. I'm handicapped here in unit B.

I don't count anymore, but two a year is pretty normal since hnting in TN. The first few years I lived up north and didn't have near the opportunity as here since there was a one deer limit.
I also don't enjoy bowhunting with sweat pouring off, so skip it until it cools off a bit.

I've bow hunted for years and have never killed a deer with a bow. I still enjoy hunting with my bow anyway. I have taken several with rifle and muzzleloader. Maybe this year will change my luck with a bow.

Good to hear so many are making bow kills in TN.
I am an experienced gun hunter, and not sure what to expect bow hunting. I have a new lease in Hickman Co.,and it sure looks deerey. Thousands of acres of timber company land. Absolute wilderness. IF I didn't have a handheld GPS, I would never find my way out of there after dark.

One thing to do differently than gun hunting , is to hunt tighter areas . Find some good terrain and/or cover bottlenecks that force deer into your effective range . Limit your shots to 25 yards or less and be patient .
