I'm smoking a turkey in the backyard today. About 2 houses up from me, in the woods, a gobbler is hammering his head off. Problem is there is still a few kernels of corn left in my yard and the neighbors use bird feeders. But I'd be lying to say I'm not tempted to grab my bow and call. There is one spot back here where I can kill one a safe distance from bait, but this turkey is in the opposite direction. Guess I will enjoy the music and go turkey hunting tomorrow somewhere legal.

Ok he wanted to pass by but got spooky when he saw me so I went inside and let him pass. That's my cardboard box smoker and archery target. The bird is headed for the danger zone, might go after him in a little while.

Those backyard kills dont count! LOL
he ain't no tame bird, he's a gobbling bird and he started to putt when he saw me. That's fair game, long as I can catch him in one spot away from the bird feeders.

Not a tame bird!?!?!? That bird eats out of your flowerbeds.... probably gets on the porch to let you know he is hungry and needs more corn thrown out.....

HAHAHAHAHAHA he will kill him and then take a pic in the "real woods"

Lol y'all just jealous I got turkeys gobbling and strutting in my backyard. The 7 semi-tame longbeards have split up a while ago and now I rarely see one, this guy showed up yesterday and left today. He was in a hurry to leave as he clearly had something else on his mind. I went up in the woods and called and sat for about half an hour and heard and saw nothing but a deer.

He left in a hurry because he saw the look in your eye. Can't believe you'd kill snuggles after all the love and affection you've given him over the years. Sick *astard :D

Remember, I have said all along you would kill one of those pets you
fed all winter...
yes this is in the back of my head the whole time, half of me wants to prove you wrong and half of me cares more about turkey hunting and wants to go up in the woods and stick an arrow in one.

Ps they are not the same birds they were when I fed them everyday. They are skittish, spook when they see me, and I am lucky to even see 1 behind the house anymore. They gobble and strut and that means I see em completely different....
