Old boat motor age ?

[RUGER]

I THINK it's a 1971 but not sure.
It's on an old Ranger boat.
Wondering if it would be worth taking on as a project.
It was bought new, one owner.
He said it probably wasn't on the water 10 times before he parked it.

The last picture was the one I was wondering if you could tell the year or anything about it by.

The motor is a 73, not sure about the boat but I assume it matches

Those are pretty heavy boats but ride good in big water. If your getting it make sure the motor isn't the electric shift from my understanding those are a pain.
