I've got a doe on my place that's been around at least 8 or 10yrs and I thought she was ancient. But 20yrs??? Wow

She does look old. Must have had false teeth if she was that old. LOL.

A very dear friend of mine who passed on last year killed a doe on Dale Hollow several years ago. She had a metal tag in her ear so he tracked down the info. Turns out she was one of the original deer released up there and if memory serves me correctly, she was 22 years old when he killed her. I didnt see her but he said she looked just like any other adult deer, not feeble, crippled, blind, etc....

glad they sent off the teeth for aging or i wouldn't have believed it. 20 years is wild! didn't know they lived to be that old.

It would be hard pressed for a buck to live past 8.5 in Tennessee I would bet.
Catman killed a late season doe at a wma and sent a tooth off for cementum aging and she came back at 14 i believe. Does can live a long time
