Not sure Butch could beat Kiffin. I think it's pretty safe to say Kiffin will never be the head coach at Alabama. Some of you guys have an imagination that is only rivaled by Disney.

I hope they was just joking about saban being fired and kiffin taking his place lol, but as a vols fan I'm not sure if butch is better then kiffen, his not showed his Better has a coach! If kiffin would had stayed at UT I think he would still be there (not gotten fired)and vols would be a better team then the are now he won 7 games his first year after taking over a team that just won 5.then Derek Dooley took over and went 6-6 his first year and 5-7 the next two and got fired after that. Butch jones 5-7 his first year it's very possible he only gets 5 this year if we don't upset a team even if he gets 6 wins. It will be scary to say but him and Derek Dooley would have the same number of wins through there first two seasons as the vols head coach. And jones has to get to 6 wins this year first!Hangnail said:

I see a chance of UT only going 4-8, Mocs and Vandy. To get to 5-7 they have to beat SC, Missouri, or UK. All of those could be a tall order, Bama and Ole Miss I don't think is going to happen.

If butch Jones gets 5 or 4 wins they will be alot of unhappy people and some that will want him gone, but is there any other coach that could have gotton that vols team butch took over last year and do much better?? I knpw people will be calling for him to get fired, but i dont think thats what the vols need a new coaching staff again after 3 years. it will just set us back again when butch got hired experts said it would take atleast 2 maybe 3 years to get going. i think they will stick with Jones

and hey this season is not over yet? what if UT beats UK and SC or a missouri? and gets 6 wins?then you will be hearing how Jones played 20+ freshman more then any other FBS team with the hardest SEC schedule and played some really good games and won half of them. think the fans will be pleased and all the talk about Jones being fired will stop, 6 games was all this team was suppost to win anyways.

Butch is catching some bad breaks because he can't put all the right players together at the same time. Last year he had a good O-Line, avg. RB play, and poor QB play. This year he has a poor O-Line, Avg. RB play, and good QB play. Next year he will probably have an avg. O-Line, good RB play, and not a clue who will be playing QB. Not sure how this is going to play out but the fans need to buckle up because the roller coaster ride isn't over yet.

if he some how gets to 6 wins i think he will shuts up the crying fans as of now, 6 wins is all you can ask for from this team half of them was playing in a highschool game last year! and people get upset cause they didnt beat Oklahoma on the road or georgia on the road?Florida game sucked! but before season started Florida was suppost to win 11 games and beat UT easy. do people really think if they fire Jones the guy next year is gonna walk right in and win 7+ games?

and im not sure the Florida-UT game saved muschamp yet, he will get 6 wins. over eastern michigan, overtime vs Kentucky at home, western kentucky , UT by 1pt in a awfull game were there QB got benched, vandy and i guess there 6 win wil be very close probley from a Georgia team with out there RB who was all they had. is this what Florida fans wanted?so if he gets to come back next year its by the skin of his teeth. what happens if Florida gets steam rolled the next 2 or 3 games? he will be right back on the hot seat.

Beating UT by one point didn't really do anything to get Muschamp off the hot seat, but we still got quite a few games left. Gators have plenty of talent, just a case of getting the right players in the right positions. Defense is strong, couple tweeks in the offense and you'd have a whole different "ball game" Butch is safe this year, now if thing don't turn in season 3....I believe his pants are going to be pretty hot! Who knows, the stars might align for UT and they turn a few thing around before seasons over. Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference. In a way I feel like UT and UF are in the same boat, couple changes here and there change either's outcome at end of season dramatically. Talents there, both coaches got to squeeze the potential out of it. Now to keep mentioning things like "beat UK in ot" is some kind of disgrace...really? For a person to discount this Kentucky team is pure crazy.

yup i agree darn2ten UF can get a win against SC or Georgia or missouri, or lsu, and still have a ok season! or they could get killed all 4 games lol same for UT lol they can get a win over a SC or missouri and win 6 games or they could drop both and end up with 5 wins if they beat UK. VOLS O-line needs to step up to win a game like that. and for UF i guess its all up to Jeff driskel you guys dont have that freshman QB to come in to save the win anymore.

the question is does even 6 wins save muschamps job? the reason i bring up the Kentucky game is, evey expert every Florida fan was saying.Florida would win 8, 9, 10, wait even 11 games! that his players Were just hurt last year and there gonna bounce back and be good real good! so does even 6 wins save his job since everyone said he had a 10 game winning team?

We've got Will Grier and Skyler Mornhinweg. Wether you'll see anything out of them...who knows? I'm guessing you probably won't see much out of them, at least not in the next game or two.

Basically those four game will make or break Muschamp. The LSU game this weekend is probably the biggest game he will coach at FL because it will change his odds in a big way. Pretty simple...

yeah i was thinking the same thing gator Florida is gonna have to take 2 outta 4 against LSU,UGA,SC,and MIZZ. IF they drop the LSU game. taking 2 outta 3 against UGA,SC,and MIZZ would be hard.
