The Trophy Case must look like Gaylord Fockers Wall by this point.Heupel has gotten Tennessee to finish inside the AP top 6 twice in his first 4 years.
I'll take it.

That is hot garbage
Who woulda thunk it… Same soup, just reheated…Tennessee prize for finishing in front of bama...At Ohio state, and Oregon...... Bama gets possibly the two weakest teams in the bracket, lol
The shouldn't they came out and said they will not punish teams playing in conference champ game. I would understand knocking a 3 loss team out that picks up a 4th loss like Clemson. What happens if clemson wins? They kicking smu out? It will be interesting how they punish or not punish conference championship games.
I think ND will be tough for anybody to beat in South Bend.Tennessee prize for finishing in front of bama...At Ohio state, and Oregon...... Bama gets possibly the two weakest teams in the bracket, lol
Tell that to northern Illinois....All the service academys & FSU would agree though.I think ND will be tough for anybody to beat in South Bend.
I don't recall seeing the vols head coach releasing a video pleading to be in the playoffs like I did BamaThe Trophy Case must look like Gaylord Fockers Wall by this point.
That is a bad loss but that's the only one.Tell that to northern Illinois....All the service academys would agree with you though.
It's not impressive for that to be your only loss when A&M and Louisville was your best opponents. That is a bad loss but that's the only one.
Sometimes teams like that will sneak up on you but that is the worst loss of the playoff teams.
I think the wording was teams would not be "unduly punished" for losing a conference game. There can be a lot of flexibility in that. The shouldn't they came out and said they will not punish teams playing in conference champ game. You can't make that statement then leave out a 11-1 team that lost a conference chip game. And give teams like 10-2 Ohio st and 11-1 Noter Dame home games that didn't even play in one.
If they do that, No one besides 3 loss teams that have no other chance of getting in will want to play in a conference chip.
Dropping a 1 loss team out for a 3 loss team that got beat down two weeks ago by a 5 win team is a pretty bad punishment.I think the wording was teams would not be "unduly punished" for losing a conference game. There can be a lot of flexibility in that.

I believe Notre dame takes bama our first round
Correct SMU should drop....to the 11th seed they are 8th now. I don't think a 1 loss team should go from being in, to being completely out cause they lost a chip game. A game Noter Dame doesn't even have to play in. So lets Throw in a 3 loss team that got beat down 2 weeks ago by a 5 win and picked up a big win over Auburn last week.Oregon is not going to drop out if they lose their conference championship game but they would drop in the rankings.
