Due to the cost of corn and gas I have decided to wait until mid July to start hanging trail cameras. It's killing me too. One more month to go. I found out that the landowner we lease from owns more than I originally thought. There is an awesome pinch point at the base of a saddle where no one has hunted for decades. There is a fast running creek, white oak, scarlet oak and persimmon ringing a valley and a stand of red cedar. I can't wait to see who's patrolling those field edges this year. I'm hoping for a new bachelor group. Last year, I found a nice ten point who stayed on our property all year. I patterned him and ended up shooting him on opening weekend of muzzleloader..... I hate this time of year.
