Well I have to say that this was one awesome turkey hunt!
You might think this is a little late but I have not had a chance to post anything since last Saturday!

So me and my brother [ddgonehntn] get to our hunting spot around 6:30am and hear atleast three different gobblers on the roost! So we set up on the oposite side of the field hoping they would pitch down and come to us. But as soon as they hit the ground they shut up. turns out they were with a group of hens and they worked a circle around us. At 9am we got out of the blind and went to the truck for a drink and try to figure out what to do to get back on them birds! At 9:30 we got back in the blind and was just gonna soft call every 15 minutes or so and hope that some different toms would come in!By about 10:30 I was checking tndeer on my phone to see if anyone else had killed yet! lol I looked up from my phone for just a second and saw two black things coming down the ridge across the field about 300 yards away!So I look out the window at David to see if he could tell what it was with the binos and he's kicked back trying to sneek a snooz! :D He finally got the binos up and said it was two longbeards headed our way fast! This was my first try turkey hunting with a bow. so I grabbed the bow hooked the release and looked up to see where the turkeys were and they had already covered half the field and were about 100 yards away! Me and david were whispering back and forth trying to figure out which bird we were going to shoot and the birds finally separated and one went down the hill about 5 yards!David said alright you take the lead bird and i'll take the one in the back!He had just gotten those words out of his mouth when the lead bird stepped in front of a stick I had ranged at 20 yards! So I put the first pin on him settled for about a second and let her fly!It was about 2 seconds after I shot that david dirtrolled his with his winchester! My bird ran 40 yards to the edge of the woods and started flopping!
This was our fist double and my first with a bow!
