I just wanted to pop in to let everyone know the 2 lessons I learned from this opening weekend.
1). No other game animal will drive you crazy like the wild turkey. I actually already knew this but it was re-enforced this weekend.
2) Nothing will drive you more crazy than turkey hunters on public land... they were out in force this weekend. I have never seen so many people in the woods even on opening weekend. I got walked up on in two different spots on opening day. The out of state tags were abundant too.
