My daughter was a little bitty 9 year old when she killed her first deer, using a shooting stick and telling me to be quite so she could focus. She was 11 when she started turkey hunting. I know that a lot of us dads are in a hurry to get our kids hunting, but sometimes the kid isn't as ready as they believe they are, or we want them to be. I have always had my daughter use a shooting stick. I use a shooting stick when possible.
