Awesome! Congratulations!
No injuryCongratulations nice bull! Was the skull injured when you camped him?
Did you guys pack him out in one trip? 8 miles is no joke, Ive packed camp and 1/2 deer out close to that distance a few times and it was brutal. We were 8 miles from the trailhead. Notice how the bases are off center on the skull. Very unique.
We did!! De-boned all meat plus packed our camp. I was about 100 lbs total and the they were prolly 115. Very brutal. Ankles were soar, swollen, and bruised. Hips bruised but I got real concerned with one of my knees… my left collar bone had swelling over it also. But I honestly loved the challengeDid you guys pack him out in one trip? 8 miles is no joke, Ive packed camp and 1/2 deer out close to that distance a few times and it was brutal.
My advice is GO!!! It's a team hunt so just try to hook up with some guys and go as a mule, no need to buy a $700 tag but you still get the experience. You just don't shoot. You won't regret it. The backcountry is truly amazing. I had a Bull moose chase a cow through camp!!!Congrats! that is awesome. I dream of going one day....
