Just spoke to the warden in the area and the 2200 acres isn't available this year. Looking for someone in the area that knows a little about this property. There are only 800 acres available to the hunters for the Dec 6th and 7th hunt. The remaining 2200 acres will be available going forward. The 2200 acres is where the better hunting is and I have heard multiple 150s have been killed there this year. My question is, would it be worth a 5 hour drive, or are you likely to sit and see nothing. I am hearing the 800 acres is mostly open and an old cattle farm. Just hate to waste 10 hours driving to scout if there isn't much to scout. Thanks for any information from folks in the area with knowledge.
