Only time will tell Donkey. He will go to the Bucs unless someone trades up to take him #1 and gives up high draft picks. The Bucs will not take Mariota. He would get killed.

I actually hope you are right. The bucs deserve Winston, because he is a product of the Florida college football system, win at all costs perpetuated by fans like yourself, but it cant happen. It would not be logical and the risk would be too high with the first pick. First obviously is dizzying amount of serious off the field transgressions, that n one in a civilized country anywhere in the world can deny hearing about. It is not like that when he is implicated on some heinous crime the GM and coach can say, "We didn't know he was prone to this behavior". Second, you have a qb that is a far superior athlete to him in almost every measurable criteria sitting there waiting. Winston is simply not first pick talent. Mariota is Smarter (wait to the wonderlics scores are out), faster (Winston will be lucky to run in the 4.6's, mariota is already in 4.4's), more elusive and shifty, more accurate (although I know that Oregon receivers are always open- Mariota has 55 TD versus 3 interceptions this year with a 184.3 qb rating and his freshmen and sophomore), more attractive- I know that is not winstons fault, but females are the fastest growing segment of NFL fans and it is important for selling jerseys, and most important to me is obviously character (choir boy versus Americas most wanted). Plus the NFL'S ongoing project against sexual and domestic abuse makes it an even crazier pick.

I do have a proposition for ya. Since you have been a Bucs season ticket holder since before I was born, and your finger is on the pulse of everything "Bucs", how about a friendly little wager. It is obvious the BUCS needs QB. Their last fist round pick, Freeman (Winston 1.0 with better morals) was a flop and their is no one on that roster who has a prayer of being a legit starter in THE nfl. So a QB will be drafted, assuming that Mariota does come out (we know Winston will be there, cause some believe he was kicked out), lets put some cash on that first pick. Say $100.00. The money can go to a TNDEER charity. We have plenty of witnesses, and If I lose I will pay and If I win, I will donate every cent of it. Bucs take Mariota at 1, I win. Winston at 1, you win. Someone else goes first, then the bet goes for the first QB off the board.
OH SNAP :pop: :pop: This could get good

Trent Dilfer, on ESPN New York: says as draft process plays out, Winston-Mariotta won't be close. Says Winston far superior. This and I hate ESPN. redblood I will gladly take that bet. Your premise of being a friendly bet is a joke though. Mariota is a product of the Duck system and everyone knows that but you. This bet will be a payment to TN Deer which provides this lovely forum for you to attack young people. The bet as I see it is for $100 and payable TN Deer site. My addition would also be a ban from Ruger if not paid. Is that agreeable with you.Winston now, whos next? Maybe the players that commited rape at Oregon that mythical school you love so much,or their star widereceiver who was suspended for the Championship game for drugs.I truly believe Ruger is an honorable man and would trust him. Please reply to let me know if ageeable

Perfect. sounds like it is an easy pay day for you anyway. And I actually hope, you win- because that means Maritota will be wearing Titan Blue and I will order the first 2 jerseys for my kids. And For the record, I am not an Oregon fan. I have no allegiance to any team. I try to support players. Players who are make good decisions on and off the field- players that can serve as role models for children- players who can trusted with the adimiration of the next generation. I have children, it is important that my kids see me supporting players that have unfallible character. From Peyton Manning to Andrew luck, from Philip Rivers to Kurt Warner, from Eli to Drew Brees- Character Counts!! TO ME ANYWAY. The problem with supporting a team, with blind loyalty is that it becomes easy to overlook occasional transgressions perpetuated by their players (and we both know that occasional doesn't really appy to ol' rapeis). Good people may know the player is probably as guilty as sin, but justify it by bringing up similar incidents from players on rival teams (might have seen that in your previous post). People complain about the lack of morals in NFL players and rightly so. But these are the players that the colleges are turning out- because die hard nole fans, or gator fans, or usc fan or bama fans etc, are supporting regardless of what they are doing during their years in academia. If we as fans, quit looking the other way, hold the university responsible for the who they gracing with a jersey- refuse to support a team with a thug star- things could change. It would have to change. we are all responsible for the examples we set. I find the terms perfectly acceptable. In fact I will gladly paypal TN 100.00 today to be applied to whatever cause TN feels as worthy, whether it is a memorial fund, a family in need, disabled hunters, etc. I'm in. As far as my "attacks" on ol Rapeis, he is 21 years old and not a kid. And from the medical exam of the victim, my attack on him is not as bad as his attack on that young girl.

Which ever one of loses will pay TN deer then. Sorry reblood you and I will never agree on Jameis and his consensual sex with that girl. There are 125 players on most teams including walkons and you will only hear about the "Stars".The only ones being tore down by others. It's not blind loyalty nor is it lynch mob mentality. As long as other teams put themselves above everyone else there will be comparisions. And there was not an attack on that young sweet girl.Dam glad she is not my daughter.Won,t be a payday for me either way.Hope this helps Tenn Deer either way it goes.

I couldn't fault them if they drafted cooper. he is a stud. but looking around that 70% empty stadium a couple weeks back, highlights the need to bring some excitement and sell some tickets. The Duck could do that!!!!

Getting closer redblood. Hope I can use your money to feed a couple hungry kids. Maybe a nice seafood dinner for the family.

Winston just ran the last 40 yard dash of his career. Other than the 40 yd Winston has destroyed Mariota . Wonderlick not released yet but Winston will be in the 30's.Steve Mariuchi or however you spell it said Winston is the smartest QB he has ever dealt with at the Combine. Rich Eisen talked about an interview Mariucci held with Winston for a segment that was featured on NFL Total Access on Saturday. In the segment, Mariucci asked Winston to diagram and analyze a play at the board..
Eisen said Mariucci called Winston "the most astute X's and O's guy that he's ever put on the board" for his draft breakdowns.

"He was not only answering the questions that Steve was throwing at him but anticipating what that question might lead to next and answering that question before Steve even posed it," Eisen said.

I would trade out of the #2 pick if I could get the Jets or Redskins or one of the other teams with picks 3-10 to bite. This draft is loaded with WRs and pass rushers. Titans are horrible and are a multi-year rebuild project. The GM is the problem and will likely be gone after the 2015 season. Plus, I wouldn't trust him with a first round QB selection. As a Browns fan, I can attest to how blown first round QB picks have a negative long term impact on a team. Load up on picks and hope Mettenberger stays healthy and can be competitive. Not sure what next year's QB class expectations are at this point. I do know that regardless of who/how the Titans draft, they will be bad again next year and their talent across the board is awful.

I'd also add that neither Winston nor Mariotta is a sure fire prospect. I wouldn't waste a #1 or #2 on a QB unless it was a Luck or a Manning or similar out of college QB.

Everyone has the titans drafting a DT from USC.

I personally wanted Zach to get another shot at proving myself this year so I hope, pass rushers, OLine and WRs is the focus on draft day and with the free agent's

How do you know who is a sure fire prospect? You should say personal opinion.Winston according to the ones who get paid for this say he is. They are already comparing his football knowledge to Manning and above Luck. Just their personal opinion.

My bad. Yes, in my personal opinion, Bucs and Titans would be better off drafting someone else and neither Winston nor Mariotta. Thank you oh defender of all that is Jameis for correcting my egregious error.
