We had tons of these cans for many exercises and deployments, I would treat my uniform openings like the fly, cuffs, collar etc., and would spray the aerosol directly on insects which was like nerve gas to them. I also found some of the kits in a conex I had to clean out for turn-in, worked great too, never had any skin irritations, but remember that we were later warned not to put it directly on our skin, along with the "bug juice" we used to soften the camo sticks with to apply it to our face and other exposed skin areas because they may cause cancer. Now, many of the new uniforms come pretreated with it.
