Congrats to the hunter. Definitely a unique trophy.
How does one "honor" a deer?Had a friend from church text me this picture today. The piebald that I passed on at 35 yds last week got shot last night I checked the pics I have of him, same deer.
Saw him yesterday morning in the back field as I left for work.
Congrats to this guy (I covered names out of respect for the individuals privacy) Hope he honors him appropriately. Sure is a beautiful animal.

Maybe that's why I have bad luck...I only passed on him cause he's so dang pretty and....I didn't want any bad Native American GU-GU. Read somewhere the Indian's (feather type) thought these were some sort of "spirit world" reincarnation or something.
Besides, I would've missed anyway
Usually with a small ceremony and a medal if he is an extrovert. However, there is always the citation of merit slipped into his permanent record if he isn't into public spectaclesHow does one "honor" a deer?
Maybe in your opinion, but antlers ain't everything. 3.5 is mature enough for me. I would have been tickled to death to kill a deer like that!!Its a 100" deer that is 3.5 tops. Very pretty coat, but definitely needed more time
I've got mixed feelings on these critters. They are pretty, but unlike albinism, they are genetic "muts". Most of the time they have some wonky traits that they pass on like shorter legs and jaws. There was an old farmer close to where I grew up and he had a mess of them and it looked like a goat farm full of mutants. I passed up one a few years ago that was a 6pt two yrs running and I wanted him to get a lil bigger. Haven't seen him since.Had a friend from church text me this picture today.
