Playoff Chaos

Man seeing all the vol fans drooling over the checkerboard math on the play offs year after year after they have lost out is

I'm not arguing - but what is that benefit?

They'd automatically be in to the playoffs? They'd already be in anyway. The #1 team in the SEC will always be ranked high enough to get in.

Money?
Winning the SECÇG will give the Champion a first round bye in the playoffs, losing no benefit, winning will place them maybe a higher seeding in the 4 automatic qualifier seeds.Ive seen arguments on both sides but the champion could improve their seeding,I had rather be a one seed than a four seed, plus the winner will win a SEC Championship trophy

IMO, any FBS game vs. an FCS opponent should automatically count as a loss for the FBS team when it's time to determine rankings. You want to be the best, only play the best.

Seems that some of the alabama fans in here have forgotten they still have a few more games left this year. Auburn being one

No way. Got to win those games first.
I'm interested in how Alabama runs the ball against Oklahoma. Their run defense is pretty good. Then you can never overlook Auburn. That cow college always makes me nervous.

Auburn always has the potential to be a trap game for bama

Oklahoma will be easy….very very easy IMO

So you think if Texas beats them, they can still get in SEC championship game?? I can't see that without a ton of help

I guess it's slightly possible if Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and ole miss all takes losses before that chip game
Assuming the program this guy put together is accurate:

A&M would lose to Auburn and beat Texas. Texas would have to lose to Kentucky. Alabama would lose to Oklahoma.

Something like that would put 9-3 Texas A&M into the SEC Championship Game...I think...
