So we have seen the first of the 4th watered down losers in the playoffs OUT .

None of them really stood a chance without some weird something happening like what happened in the Michigan v OSU game. With some freak outcome. I'm sure there is some team that has not been relevant in the last decade thinking man that would have been great had would be busted that bracket.

But let me ask this.

Do we really want to see a busted up no nothing team get in for not putting in no effort and not being deserving? Because that's exactly what THE first bracket could have been broken down into had it gone bad. .
Asking for a friend.

For starters if a team made the 12 team playoff i don't think they would be considered "busted up no nothing" team. They may not be the best team in the nation but they did what was required to put them in position to be considered for playoffs

2nd depends on the definition of "deserving". If you played the teams on your schedule and put yourself in position to be considered for the playoffs then so be it.

3rd lot of people like to see the underdog have a chance show what they have (see NCAA basketball, or the Div 2 football playoffs). The playoff teams met the "criteria" for consideration and was selected. (As a side note: none of the teams that DID make the playoffs lost multiple games to teams with a record around .500 winning %)

4th and final. I can see why your "FRIEND" wanted you to make the comments and ask these questions because anyone who would even suggest that the teams, that DID make the playoffs, did not put in the effort, then your "FRIEND" has no clue about being a part of an organized sports team at any level, excluding the kindergarten YMCA leagues, and your "FRIEND" must be a complete baffoon for thinking as such!!

PLEASE RELAY THESE REMARKS TO YOUR "FRIEND" and TELL THEM THEY WOULD PROBABLY BE BEST SERVED WATCHING SESAME STREET WHERE THEIR CRAYONS CAN BE USED MORE APPROPRIATELY.

"Except" the final standings? your team is going to end up with the same record as TN, and thats if they can beat Michigan in the Reliaquest bowl. Other than that, I think its you that needs to ACCEPT the final standings.

I love how they gave Alabama an unranked opponent in the bowl game. Hopefully they can pull out a win, a nice consolation prize. Since they missed the playoffs. Like a participation trophy and bragging rights. If they beat the unranked wolverines they can run around the field beating their chest talking about how they were screwed out of a playoff spot.

I'm not sure they'll beat Michigan. They should but You can't tell which team will show up.

I hate it. I think they did a terrible job with bowl match ups this year. That's a terrible game for Alabama. If they win then it's just a win against a bad Michigan team and if they lose then it's a loss against a bad team. It's no upside for Alabama.
I always look forward to watching Alabama play and Michigan has a lot of tradition. I just wish they were playing a ranked team.

As far as the playoffs go the first has disappointed me. I thought Tennessee could make it a game at halftime but came flat in the second half. The score was kinda close in the Texas game but I never felt it was in doubt for Texas.
I really think they need to lose the auto bids and they might have better games.
