Anybody ever had any work done at Poindexters? Just got my bow back. Got a new string and cable put on and I'm having to use my 50 yd pin to hit at 20yds. I expected to have to make some adjustments. And my rest is so out of time it's ripping my fletchings off. Hope I didn't just waste over 100 bones just to have to go pay somebody else even more to fix it.

I would be taking it back, and pray that they will fix it or refund your money. I've only had warranty work done there. Friendly and personable people, but they are a fishing shop that sells bows on the sidenot always the best combination. I've always had to straighten out and redo everything they have done once I got home. If I didn't have the equipment and the knowledge to do my own work here I would be giving Matt at EnergyWave a callhe does great work and makes the best string out there in my opinion. If I'm not mistaken, he is still charging $55 locally with the string installed, setup and tuned.

Wow! I feel like I got ripped off now. I'm taking it back here in a few. The guy on the phone said "they don't tune them when they restring them". I wouldn't be bringing my bow to be restrung if I had the equipment to "tune" it.thanks guys.

Dang cozy....that is one of the most absurd things I've ever heard coming from any "shop"hope you get it worked out!

What kind of string did they sell you...America's Best?

Just got back. He moved my rest cord down a lil bit on the cable which helped quite a bit. Still tore a fletching off at home. Every time I shoot a group they are low and right. Also none of them are hitting the target at the same angle. Got some work to do now before season starts. I could keep em in 3in groups at 35 yds before all this.

Ok , now that you have given them their chance . Write them off and take it to Matt he won't let you leave without it being right . And make sure to try your next set of strings through him .

Who worked on it for you . I have been going to Poindexters for years and have never had a problem. Of course I do alot of my own work at home .
Not sure who did the work. It was the an older dude.

call them back ask to speak to SCOTT HICKSON . Tell him I sent you and the problem you are having . He will make it right . This just blows my mind that this happened to you as I have never had a problem with this shop over 20 something years.
