I've gone back and forth…can am defender vs Polaris general /ranger. All I have read was that the can am was superior, but is it worth being 5-7k more?

I just will be using to ride around the house with my son as well as take to the camp to use to hunt with as well as for work around the camp.

Would it be worth getting a used can am around the price of a new Polaris etc?

I don't care about power as I'm really not gonna be using it for power/towing etc.

I'm in Florence, AL now do will be by a Polaris dealer, but I've heard their repairs are high etc I will drive by a can am dealership on the way to camp so that's a wash.

Which one is quieter? I know can ams are reliable but do Polaris hold up? Etc Open to any and all points. Thanks!

All I can say is send me some Lasagna from Ricatoni's. Man they have the best Italian food in the South. I'm from up north and know a thing or two about good Italian food. We drive all the way from Chattanooga just for their food.

I've owned 2 defenders and they have been great machines. For the amount I've abused mine through duck season, pulling 16' tandem trailers loaded with gear etc. It keeps on trucking. No major issues either just keep up with your preventative maintenance.

We've had our 2 Polaris ranger 900xp's for about 10 years. Nothing but regular maintenance for ours, other than having to fix what mice have chewed

Ended up going with a 25 ranger 1000. Wife and son love it. Thanks for the inputs guys. It was dealership location being right here at shoals outdoors. I got a good deal with a trailer that I jumped on.
You won't regret it. We've got all kinds at camp, probably 4:1 Polaris to any other brand. SOS is good to deal with as well, their shop is no higher than any other that I know of. They do get slammed 5-6 weeks before hunting season, so plan accordingly
