Honestly, I'll shoot the first 3 1/2+ year-old buck I see each year. Luckily for me, over the last decade or so, the first 3 1/2+ year-old buck I've gotten in range each season has been a whopper.

Awesome buck. His body looks 3.5, but I suspect he is a run down 4.5 yo from the rut. I had a buck last year that showed up out of the blue at the end of the season and stuck around this year until the end of November. He either got killed or range shifted somewhere as I haven't seen him in a while.

Sure hope not. And I'll never know if I have them because the TWRA only released black ones so they won't show up on trail-cam.

The tan ones dont either unless your cams are somewhere they actually exist.
