Postseason Baseball

I didn't get to see any of the tournament as I was at my bonus son's tournament but knew it was gonna be tough to beat Arkansas. Sounds like if they win the regional they could host the super regional too and never leave Knoxville until the World Series. Hope that's true and they make a great run to Omaha.

Looks like a good one going at LN. Wright State's no joke.
not at the house yet and can not get the espn app to work worth a dang.

Could not ever get ESPN to work- said some BS about ESPN 3. I can not believe I didn't see the end live. It's a hell of a thing to keep refreshing on the phone must have been wild. Holy crap to have been there

I mean, you could tell before the pitch even got to the plate it was in a dangerous spot…Then you talk about jumping off the bat. Shew whee!

watching the ESPN "squeeze play" on ESPN U - its pretty cool, like NFL red zone I guess.
Don't have high hopes about getting ESPN 3 to work right tonight either, plus supper reservations at 6:45. Maybe I can catch the end of it. Go Big 🍊

LSU coming back to town. Going to be a tough one and I suspect they'll still have some mojo cooking for Mainieri's swan song here. I expect it will be a great atmosphere

It should be a fantastic crowd awaiting him after his comments following the series where we swept them a few weeks ago. :)

"Listen, even though there wasn't a huge, huge crowd at Tennessee, it was an extremely hostile environment," Mainieri said. "They were nasty. They were being nasty, nasty."

"The other team was not handling things with a lot of class, quite frankly," he said.

"They were into (LSU first baseman) Tre' Morgan's head," Mainieri said of the crowd at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. "They were on him from the moment he walked onto that field. I mean, it was difficult situation with the umpires, a lot of calls that went against kids and they were having to deal with that."

I've neve me been to Baton Rouge but if half of what I've heard about their fans is true its more than a little ironic for an LSU team to complain about anybody else.

I played at Tennessee Tech my freshman year and we played a home and away game with UT. It was weird since I grew up a Vol fan. Anyway we cleared the benches with them at our place and then had to go there. I ended up catching the last inning or 2 and they called me everything but a white boy. I thought it was hilarious and just laughed about it but if they figure out it bothers you they are relentless. This was the spring of 92 so almost 30 years ago but I've got a feeling some things haven't changed. That's why I laugh at golfers wanting everything quiet. I mean the ball is sitting still and not moving all over at 85+ mph while being heckled.

Seemed a little unconventional but feels great to get the first one. Dallas & Hunley were great. I think I heard them say it'll be Tidwell tomorrow, hopefully we can close them out & punch our ticket. Dang rain delay kept me up past my bedtime.

Watching the postgame now and thinking back to some more random thoughts:
I thought Pavolony had a rough game, spiking that ball to 3rd and taking the called third strike in the bottom of the 6th with the bases loaded. But, with more thought he called a hell of a game behind the plate and the strike em out throw em out in the top of the 8th was a huge play. That was as much a credit to Spence staying down there and getting the tag but Pavolony had to get it into a spot for him to do something.

Tony Vitello has such an off/on switch. His answers in pressers are always thoughtful and insightful. Doesn't seem like the same guy doing a somersault after the game or jumping into the stands. Love it when he gets fired up and I think it means more when he does that since he's not always overly intense.

Be interested to see how today goes. I would expect it to be low with their Friday night ace and the way Tidwell has been throwing but you never can tell.

So I could have sworn this game was going to be on ESPN 2. Nope, ESPNU…which apparently I can't watch with either the family cable info or my brothers ESPN+ account. Ok, I get Hulu free with my Spotify account…but I need a more expensive Hulu account to watch live TV. I am cussing mad. I think I've used free trials for any other service that streams ESPN U live… I hate cable/telecom companies.
See if I can get it on the radio!
