Yep, I am using the small primer assembly.
You are correct.....you can feel the primer is not seating correctly in some instances. Do you not encounter flipped primers? For example, it became necessary for me to place loaded rounds point down in a 50 round plastic box. This way I could easily see flipped or damaged primers. There is no chance i locked that plastic lid into place with primers upside down. IMHO the primer process is flawed.
I find it best to remove the decap and primer steps. By doing so I literally have not had a single problem in over 4,000 rounds.
