I sat in my ground blind yesterday and practiced shooting at an old feather-flex turkey decoy at 17-20 yds. I must say that pulling off a head or neck shot on a live turkey will be an accomplishment. Gonna try it though! :)

Your doing it right. After deer season I practice entirely in a sitting position or on my knees or one knee. It will pay off.

Yeah, shooting from the blind while sitting on a milk crate showed me just how good I wasn't. I am glad I started practicing this now. Probably will go for the body shot and save the head shot for point blank if it ever happens.

I have been doing a lot of practice standing, now it is time to practice from what my actual shooting positions will be. I'll leave the headshots to the experts. I will stick with the Rage to the ribcage for now.

I recommend practicing on a stool in your ground blind and shooting through several of the windows to get a feel of shooting from a ground blind . It is different for sure .
