This issue may have been mentioned or addressed before, if so , sorry. But here's the deal. I have a less expensive Browning cam, a command Ops Elite 22 . It only takes six batteries. Battery life seemed about normal like any other camera . I keep it aimed in front of a camper on my hunting property . About a month ago as I was leaving I had it turned off and put a new card in it . Anyway I left without turning the camera back on and the door open. At the end of last week when I was there I did not put a new card in cuz it was new already and I went to turn it on as I was leaving and the camera would not turn on and I tried several times, it would not power up. I brought it home with me. I discovered that the batteries which were not really that old were dead. I put new batteries in it turned it off and stored it for the next time I would go to the property. Well I thought I would use it to see who eats the apple core I throw off the deck at the house every night. And I discovered after only one day the batteries were again dead and the camera had not been turned on. So I again put new batteries in it put it out there at night and found that the batteries had gone down 25% in standby mode in one 24-hour period. The weirdest thing is that it drains the batteries even while it is turned off. My inclination is to throw this sucker in the junk and just buy another camera. It is pushing 2 years old so it is well out of warranty anyhow. Anybody heard of this or know what to do or is the camera hopeless.?
