He made a couple decent throws. He looked very slow. Loooong drawn out delivery. He could be good but he is gonna have to get some GREAT protection or he will sacked a lot and make lots of bad throws.

SLOW!!!

played an entire half. 9 for 19 and a pick. slow delivery, shotty accuracy. bust

47% isnt great for his 1 st game but he will get better. He is such a terrible athlete, they even put in his contract he can't play Pro baseball. They put in Mariotta's he can't surf. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Tampa bay allowed the most sacks in the NFL last year! They are starting 2 rookies on the O-Line this year :tu: gonna be a long year for Winston.

Believe Jacksonville gave up 71 compared to Tampa's 52. Wow that is a lot. . Titans are much better thank goodness. Titans only gave up 50. That should keep Mettenberger safe. :tu:

You know why Tennessee gave up 50 sacks? Because they started Two rookies on the O-Line last season :tu: Just like Tampa Bay is gonna do this season :tu:

Titans should be much better as a group now, Taylor Lewan should be a monster at LT this year :tu: he was one of the starting rookies last season. Titans have 2 high First round picks starting on there OLine and 0 rookies :tu:

So the Titans will be better because they gave up 2 fewer sacks. :tu: The Bucs oline will be ok. 100% better when they get rid of the center that played Sat night. Jacksonville gave up 71,the Redskins 58 and others in the 50,s so Tampa wasn't the worse :rotf: :rotf: . I hope Titans play Mettenberger because Mariotta looks slow. Maybe they should let him run some fat off.

Coaches shuffled the starting offensive line throughout the workout Sunday afternoon at the team's training facility. Halfway through each of the first-team reps, right tackle Byron Bell moved to left guard and replaced Andy Levitre. Jamon Meredith took Bell's spot at right tackle.

Afterward, coach Ken Whisenhunt attempted to downplay the moves but it looks certain that – between now and the start of the regular season – the team at least will consider doing something different on the offensive line than what was expected.

"That's not really a decision that you can force," Whisenhunt said. "I think we got some information after last game, we'll get some more in this game [Sunday against St. Louis], and then we'll assess it after that. We're still in training camp mode and we've still got a lot of practice that we can do this week. So we'll find out."

Doesn't look like the Titans are happy either.Meredith is listed as the backup at left guard and, according to Pro Football Focus, was one of the Titans' best players in Friday's preseason opener against Atlanta.

He's a 29-year-old who has played 54 games (27 starts) with Buffalo, the N.Y. Giants, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis and the Titans. He has started at least three games at every position except center.

"Bell's had a lot of snaps at left guard in camp and (Meredith) has had them everywhere on the line of scrimmage," Whisenhunt said. "They've all rotated in that position. They've had snaps with the (starters) all of camp."

Only one can get those snaps when the regular season starts, though. And right now it's clear that the coaches don't know who that will be.

Why does Meredith sound familiar? Oh yeah ,played at Tampa

i will say one positive things about wins tons performance....he was consistent

both his completion percentage and qb rating was 47

mariota wasn't as consistent. he had a completion percentage of 88 percent and qb rating of 76. slacker

I will say one thing redblood,at least you are consistent with your attack. I do admire the fact that at least you paid for the privilege...

The Bucs have signed a bust. Congrats to making future NFL films... :tu:

Despite Mariota's clear athleticism advantage, he hasn't been able to run his way past opposing pass-rushers very frequently. When teams have pressured Mariota, they've sacked him a whopping 30 percent of the time this season. The only quarterback who has been sacked more frequently under pressure is Alex Smith (31.1 percent). Winston, meanwhile, is 11th in the league under pressure with an 8.4 percent sack rate. And in terms of their overall sack rate, Mariota (8.2 percent of dropbacks) is being sacked far more frequently than Winston (5.4 percent). And that comes despite ...

Degree of difficulty

Winston clearly has faced more obstacles this season. That starts with strength of schedule. I use the gap between a quarterback's DVOA and VOA as a reasonable proxy of the quality of pass defenses he has faced. Heading into this week, Winston had a tiny gap between his DVOA and VOA, suggesting he had faced a league-average slate of pass defenses. Mariota, meanwhile, had the largest negative gap of anybody in the league, suggesting he had faced the easiest group of opposing defenses. And that won't be getting any smaller, given that he faced the 30th-ranked Jaguars on Sunday.

NFL Rank# TD's INT Sacks Wins
#13 Winston 20 passing 5 Rushing 12 24 6
#23Mariota 19 passing 2 rushing 10 38 3

Pretty good write up badnole. You should consider working for ESPN.
Well, maybe not. You could be taking mariotas only chance at a football related career after he's let go by the Titans for his lack of performance. Plus, Winston will probably need a good lawyer.
