Shot at a doe this morning from a tree 25ft up. Sighted in with muzzle loader 1in at 50 yards. How high do you think if any the bullet will rise? 90gr powder 240gr bullet. Can't find blood but can't believe I would miss that close! Thanks

Honestly I didn't think I missed but deer walked off stopped about 40 yards and then vanished. I've looked 200 yards in all directions no blood. But I have killed a bunch of deer so I wasn't shaking. Don't know what to do with no blood.

If you missed there is a tree with a bullet in it or an obvious penetration point on the ground.

Absent those 2 things, you probably have a dead deer somewhere.

15 yards might cause an inch or 2 discrepancy in impact... in my experience.

Buck I killed last Saturday was no more than 25 yards quartering to me walking. I was maybe 8' up in a short ladder stand. Put the crosshairs on his shoulder and that's where it hit. You wouldn't miss at that distance unless you pulled the shot.
