Lol I liked how one of the commentators during halftime tried to explain that the quarterback should've landed on his non throwing arm. Like the man really had a choice in which shoulder he was going to get drove into the ground.
I'm surprised with that kind of hit and drive into the ground that his collar bone wasn't left on the found.

Guess I'm in the minority here, I don't think it was dirty. By rule it maybe technically a penalty, but I didn't see it as malicious.

How do you know he knew the ball was out?
I'm going to guess with how the play developed and the QB contorting to make the throw Turner wasn't even able to look for the ball as he closed in to make the tackle for a presumed sack. There was nothing malicious about that play whatsoever.
"But driving him into the ground was dirty."—rewatch the play, that was gravity and the way Ewers was twisted after throwing the ball. It was unfortunate that Ewers landed the way he did and wound up injured because they likely would've whipped Alabama's @ss had he stayed in the game.

Announcer said it beat. He was in there trying to get the hit.
Bottom line: They knew they couldn't beat him so they took him out.

I hate bama as much as the next guy and only saw the replay but don't think it was malicious. Seemed like a legit hit. Gonna be hard not to land on him when hit like that. Hopefully the kid will be ok.
