Bottom line: They knew they couldn't beat him so they took him out.

Tennessee "took out" the Pittsburgh QB and also injured the backup. I don't think the injuries were intentional in either game.

I think he was flagged on a technicality, it was a straight on tackle and with the speed that it all happened there wouldn't have been a whole lot he could have done other than some Matrix move to make sure he didn't land on him.

To me it was similar to how defenders get ejected for targeting when it is obvious that the ball carrier has lowered their head and dropped down causing the contact to their own head. We've all seen that multiple times. Nothing dirty by the defender, he is just trying to make a play and yet is ejected due to the wording of the rule.

Guess I'm in the minority here, I don't think it was dirty. By rule it maybe technically a penalty, but I didn't see it as malicious.
