The spine shot was were I wanted it !!

I have hit deer in the spine by accident , but the spine shot should never be the intended kill shot . It's too risky with a broadhead as you witnessed . You should learn from your own mistakes in shot placement and try for a double lung shot . Avoid quartering towards and straight down shots and take only high percentage shots with little bone in the way to impede penetration.

Shot Rage for the first time this year. Had pass through and nearly took the opposite leg completely off coming out the other side. I shoot a Parker at 60# so I think any modern bow has enough energy for pass through with good placement. The deer went 80 yards but was an easy tracking job since it was like following red paint poured from a paint can! When I field dressed it both lungs were hit as was the heart. It's amazing how far them little buggers can run without a working heart! I love the rage and with a good shot placement they really do their job, but even with that sometimes things happen. I will say last year I let the biggest deer I have ever seen because he walked directly under my stand and never had an ethical shot. That was hard!

I have been shooting the rage 2 blades since they came out and have always had a clean pass thru.Shot placement is everything!

ive shot rage this yr had pass through on one and other didnt but it was same broadhead and its still in good shape i think no matter what comes out someone is going to have something bad to say about it but i know ill never use nething else but a rage broadhead massive cut and bloodtrails

Rage and Slicks are for kids...Use Grim Reapers!!! J/k Never used either of the bh, but it all has to do with what the bh hits once it enters the intended target and what angle it was shot from. It doesn't matter what bh you use if something goes wrong with either of the above mentioned scenarios its over. Blades wont deploy, wont get pass through, etc I believe that there is a big misconception about how bh work. We as hunters encounter a lot more different situations in the woods then how bhs get tested for at testing facilities. I guarantee that you will find multiple problems with every bh on the market if you were to dig. Pick what works for you and be happy...
