Ranger help

I have an 07 Ranger z20. My keypad went out today and am being told it will be $1,400.00 and take 30 days to get here. From what I understand is they have redesigned the key pad a couple of times and I not only have to change the pad at the console but also the pad at the bow, the brain and wiring. I have 3 tournaments in April and don't have time to wait the 30 days. Anyone have any experience with this? Have also read about a key switch that plugs in to the harness but haven't found anywhere to get one. I haven't had a lot of time to research it but thought I would ask here.

You might call Chattanooga Fish and Fun. They are Ranger dealers and might have the backup switch. It seems pretty common for Ranger guys to keep one of those on the boat.

I hope you can get it fixed in time. I wonder if there is some kind of boat junkyard that might have one you could get to replace it. I'm sure they were used for several years and models.
