I have been trying to kill this tom for the past week. I finally got setup in the right spot this morning after roosting him last night above a bluff. I had 9 hens and a jake fly down right on me and I knew he was in trouble. By 6:30 he was 15 yards and struttung. I had to wait for a couple of hens to get clear before I could shoot. He weighed 23 lbs., 1" spurs, and he has a 10 1/4" beard.
He is a good solid 3 year old tom.
