nice buck! congrats!
Congratulations to the young man ...looks like you all had a great time .This weekend was the first time I had hunted our new Fentress County lease. I was fortunate to be doing so with my 8yr old son, Raylan. After some rain and wind at times throughout the day, we hunted an elevated box blind in a field. Our first deer sighting for the day was a buck that was chased out of the field by horses just as Raylan was squeezing the trigger. We thought we were cooked for the evening, but the same buck came back from behind us, trotted within 10ft of the blind and I managed to get him to turn broadside at roughly 80yds. Raylan made a great shot with his CVA Cascade .350 Legend, taking out the top of the heart and both lungs for a short and easy tracking job. My buddy's 8 yr old nephew also connected on a doe as well as another 7pt on the first hunt of his life. We stayed in a bunkhouse on the property with no TV or WIFI, and I don't think they missed either one at all. We also had a great shot at a bear, but she had a cub with her. It was really exciting and cool to see as it was the first time either of us had seen one while hunting! I'm very blessed and thank God for it!!!
You're not the first person to say that! They are definitely destructive! They tear our stuff in KY to pieces.Congrats but please shoot all bears next time.
