Raylan Is Tagged Out!

First, I'd just like to say how proud I am of my son Raylan for his effort, attitude, and commitment when it comes to hunting. This kid loves to hunt! He has toughed out long, cold sits for days on end without seeing a single deer. He has also had days where he passed multiple young bucks in hopes of tagging out on a bigger deer. At 8 years old, he finally gave in to the itch and shot this fine, young 4 point today a bit after 11:00. He held on the deer from 100 yds to 45 where it finally gave him a broadside shot. He kept his cool and made a good double lung hit with his CVA Cascade .350 Legend. The deer bolted for the fence row and hit the barbed wire and stopped where Raylan put another one into him and anchored him right next to the tractor path. You can see his blind in the barn hall in the background. He has hunted treestands, ground blinds, and even watched fields from the truck on 11 degree mornings, and has hunted 3 different counties to get it done. He's fought pneumonia, bronchitis, and horrible allergies through it all. Fellas, he's a hunter. No question. And I couldn't be happier! Thanks for all of your comments and likes. He reads and counts them all!
