So I just put in an order for a new Retay Gordion turkey gun. Has a 24" barrel and shoots 3". Because Retay is still new to the scene there's not a lot of turkey choke options out there, but I would like to get some advice on what you all might recommend. Right now I know Jebs, patternmaster, and Carlson makes a choke that will fit, but I'm not sure as to which constriction to get. I plan to most likely shoot TSS but I'm new to the TSS game and the contrictions most use for it. Let me know what you guys think.

12G or 20G? For TSS, I would look at Indian Creek and Carlson choke tubes. For hunting purposes, TSS does not have to be choked like lead and heavier than lead (HTL). In other words, you do not need a tight choke like many like to think so you can punch 300+ holes inside a 10" circle. The TSS shot string will stay together better over the longer distances than lead and HTL. If you keep your shots to 35-40 yards, you could turkey hunt with your factory full choke that comes with the gun and TSS shells. With this said, you do need to confirm point of aim (POA) = point of impact (POI), so you will need to shoot your setup (gun, choke, exact shells) that you plan to hunt with. This will make sure your gun is shooting straight so to speak and the majority of the pattern is hitting where you are aiming. I personally shoot at a piece of paper than is 35" x 35" so I can see the majority of my pellets and make a quantifiable decision about where my POI is. Another cheap alternative for checking your pattern on paper is wrapping paper that you wrap gifts with. Turn it inside out and shoot the white portion of the paper. Draw you a 1" circle/dot in the middle to aim at, then a 10" circle, and then a 20" circle if you can and see where the majority of your pellets are hitting. Good luck and let us know if you have any more questions.

It's a 12 ga. Thanks! I'll have to check and see if Indian creek makes a choke for a Retay.
