Not that I had originally planned to hunt off the ground on Friday but I forgot the tree hook for my Lone Wolf stand so I fell back to plan B. Hung the stand about 6 inches off the ground and used it as a ground seat tucked in behind some privet hedge. Hadn't been settled in for more than 5-10 minutes when a doe and a big yearling came up on me. I thought the gig was up when she caught me peeking out at her but the ASAT leafy suit and not moving saved my hide. She walked out at 15 yards and I made the most of the opportunity. I'll try to post up a pic if I can get it off of my phone.
